With ‘Fireball Presence,’ Artist Qualifies for July 1st Finale

Nashville, Tennessee—(May 7, 2009) The second round of the World-Famous Wildhorse Saloon House Band Search took place last night, and it was an artist no stranger to the Nashville music scene, Sunny Fitz, that won over the audience and the panel of celebrity judges during another unforgettable night of competition.

Five bands competed during the second of five live auditions, and at the end of the night, country-rock entertainer Sunny Fitz qualified for the live finale scheduled for Wed., July 1, 2009 at the Wildhorse Saloon. She will compete with other qualifying bands for the coveted top entertainment spot at downtown Nashville, Tennessee’s number-one dining and entertainment destination.

Four celebrity judges were on hand to help pick the winning band. Among them were Ira Dean, one of the founding members of country act Trick Pony, who got their start as a Wildhorse Saloon house band; Michael Knox, producer for country star Jason Aldean; Bradley Collins, writing publisher for Broadcast Music Incorporated (BMI); and Ron Kerere, general manager for the Wildhorse Saloon. And emceeing the series of events was “hick-hop” artist Cowboy Troy.

“I am absolutely busting at the seams,” said Sunny Fitz, after winning the second round of the Wildhorse Saloon House Band Search Competition. “When Cowboy Troy came out and said, ‘Nashville has seen a lot of gloomy days lately, but tonight, it was all Sunny,’ I lost it. This was a wonderful experience, and I can’t wait to come back for the finale on July 1st.”

The World-Famous Wildhorse Saloon House Band Search Contest is scouting bands nationwide for this competition, and this is the perfect opportunity for bands to get noticed—and possibly signed with a major Nashville recording label. Three additional live auditions will take place May 19, 2009 and June 3 and 17, 2009, leading up to the live finale on July 1, 2009. Interested bands should send an electronic press kit to Kara Ryan at
